The Bloomington Academy with the stamp of being the first British Curriculum School in the emirate of Ajman, opened its doors in September 2014. Located in the heart of the city, it is the answer to parents’ anxiety of finding a quality British School within close range, thus saving hours of commuting. Ensuring the celebration of a diverse student and staff community, The Bloomington Academy enjoys a mix of over 70+ nationalities, from all over the world, and with a school strength of 1500+. All under one roof, valuing, respecting, and celebrating one another. One of the strongest features of the institution that has helped it gain acceptance and acclaim in society, is the international standards of education that the school offers at an extremely competitive price. The school is dedicated to nurturing students with an all-round perspective. With an affinity towards environmental engagements, we have been honoured with a National Award by the Emirates Environmental Group. Online safety and well-being of our students being of utmost priority, we have been certified as an online safe school, NOS certified, by the National College UK. Our students have participated in a wide range of programs outside school and have brought pride and pomp to the school. To name some of these: The Puma Sustainable Challenge (Team Quarks) where our students participated and were shortlisted for their innovative project. Another Prestigious Award – ‘eSafe Child Online Protection Award’, received at the eSafe 1st International Conference, ‘Children’s Wellbeing in a Digital World’, at Abu Dhabi, presented by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. TBAC was one among the 10 recipients of the award. Our students secured 2nd Place, on the topic: ‘Artificial Intelligence in a Classroom’, an Inter-School Debating Competition CROSSFIRE 2023, an Inter-School Virtual Debating Competition for the Senior High School students, organized by The Young Vision, Youth Education Magazine and IMT Dubai held on 22 February 2023, at the Institute of Management Technology, Dubai. The school organized the PUSH Talk by Mr. Robert Fisher and Arabic & Islamic Studies Teachers’ Forum in collaboration with Edufikra. Our students earnestly participated in Next GEN EXPO School Programme – Climate Action: COP 28. Our Bloom Writers ‘Took Wings’ at the Sharjah International Book Fair 2023, where the Book Launch of The Bloom Anthology: ‘A Kaleidoscope of Tales’. The prestigious citation, The Madam Sosamma Lazar Award for Outstanding Employees, recognizing the accomplishments of the staff projecting their passion and persistence in giving their best to the organization. There is never a dearth of programmes, and our students are empowered to harness all the opportunities that come their way.
