Message from the Chairman
Welcome to North Point Education, where excellence in education brings learning to life, in ‘Raising Tomorrow’s Leaders’. As I reflect on our journey, I am reminded of the humble beginnings of North Point Education, which took root in porter cabins. From those modest beginnings, we have grown into full-fledged, well-infrastructured schools. It is truly a privilege to steward these schools, resources, and a talented team of educators who share a common passion for delivering high-quality education
I express my deepest gratitude to the wise and compassionate leadership of the rulers of Ajman and Sharjah. I am filled with immense pride that our institutions have the privilege of being blessed with the visionary guidance of these leaders.
Inspired by my father, Mr. Daniel Lazar's vision, my mother, Ms. Sosamma Lazar, a dedicated working woman, recognised the pressing need to provide educational opportunities for children who lacked access to formal schooling. There were no private schools, back then, hence they attended government schools. She tutored students at our home, during her free time, teaching them English. Our home was like a ‘school’, with students from varied ethnicities and of varied ages attending classes here. She worked wonders with the students, who after her tutoring, were well prepared to take the Ministry Exam pertaining to their age at the appropriate grade level. Testimony of sheer passion for educating children. It was her inspiration that sparked the idea of starting an educational institution in Ajman. The Lazar Group with its tagline, ‘Educators at Heart’ was founded.
The modest beginnings of our maiden ventures were in Ajman, which took shape under the patronage of the Ruler of Ajman, H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, and the benevolent support of the Deputy Ruler, H.H. Sheikh Nasser bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.
The Deputy Ruler of Ajman, H. H. Sheikh Nasser bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, benevolently offered a spacious place, one of his old family homes, in the heart of Ajman, where The Little Flower Nursery blossomed in 1985. His Highness was extremely supportive of our new venture, in all matters concerning location, licensing, etc. This led to the realisation of my parents’ dreams, the deep passion and zeal to make a difference in the lives of children, changing it for the better. Without the foresight and vision of H. H. Sheikh Nasser bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, our family of schools would not have existed. From the Sheikh’s old family home to his older office building, to porter cabins and now to proper school buildings. Numbers increased from a handful of students then, to a few thousand as of today.
Our journey continued to flourish as we expanded, from our tiny nursery in 1985, to 3 schools, in Ajman and Sharjah, which function in line with the UAE 2021 National Agenda, providing quality education for all. The Royal Academy, Ajman, the first Indian CBSE curriculum school with internationally diverse students, The Bloomington Academy, the very first British curriculum school in Ajman, and newest addition, The Hope English School, Sharjah, British curriculum, under the patronage of the region's leading academic and intellectual personality, His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.
Today, North Point Education comprising the three schools, each a beacon of excellence in its own right stands for excellence in education, fostering knowledge, nurturing talents, and shaping futures. Our mission statement, 'ENGAGE,' reflects our commitment to grooming young minds and hearts as pillars of advancement and hope for the future. Success lends itself faster to those whose confidence is inspired not only by literacy but also education in real terms encompassing character and personality traits.
As we proudly serve the Northern Emirates, our hearts are filled with hope and anticipation for the opportunities that lie ahead. Looking ahead into the future, we are excited about the prospect of expanding our reach to other emirates, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and of course Dubai. Our recent invitation by KHDA to explore opportunities in Dubai is evidence of our reputation for delivering exceptional education at an affordable price.
Inspired by the philosophy; growth that empowers society, strengthens institutions, and sustains future generations, we embed these values in our schools, shaping global citizens. We remain committed to disciplined investment, value‑driven leadership, and purposeful growth.
With faith and determination guiding us, and driven by the enduring spirit of compassion, wisdom, and progress that our visionary leaders embody, it is our greatest aim that our students attain their dreams and goals to bring greater effulgence in the future.
For me there is more to it than that which meets the eye. It is passion coupled with sentiments, as I was born, raised, and educated here in Ajman, UAE. I must say that education systems and schools have undergone transformative changes and have come a long way since the 80s and 90s. We have truly been blessed to be living in times such as these. My connection to the UAE is a very special one and it is my sincere wish and passion to serve in the land where I was born and raised. We are grateful for the blessings of time and the call for a brighter tomorrow, the anticipation of the opportunities that lie ahead and to continue a legacy which began 40 years ago.
